Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of namanuttarakhand.com (the "Website") and any services booked through Naman Uttarakhand ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Website or booking with us, you accept these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to make a booking. If you book on behalf of others, you confirm you are authorised to do so and that you have shared these Terms with them.
2. Our services
We arrange travel-related services in Uttarakhand and nearby regions, including itinerary planning, accommodation, transport, guided activities and permits. Many of these services are delivered by independent third-party operators — hotels, homestays, drivers, guides and activity providers.
3. Enquiries, quotes and bookings
- Prices quoted are estimates until confirmed in writing and are subject to availability at the time of booking.
- A booking is confirmed only when we issue a written confirmation and the agreed advance payment has been received.
- Quotes are valid for the period stated in them. Where no period is stated, a quote is valid for seven days.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the names, dates, ages and contact details you give us. Corrections after confirmation may attract charges from suppliers.
4. Pricing and payment
- Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless stated otherwise, and are subject to applicable taxes.
- An advance payment is required to confirm a booking; the balance is due before the start of services, on the schedule stated in your confirmation.
- Prices may change before confirmation because of changes in supplier rates, taxes, fuel costs, permit fees or currency movements.
- Unless expressly listed as included, prices exclude airfare, personal expenses, tips, travel insurance, entry fees, and anything not stated in the itinerary.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation terms for each booking are stated in your written confirmation and take precedence over this section. In general:
- Cancellation requests must be sent to us in writing; the date we receive the request is the date of cancellation.
- Advance payments may be non-refundable where suppliers have already been paid on your behalf.
- Peak-season, festival and group bookings may carry stricter terms set by the supplier.
- No refund is due for unused services, late arrival, early departure, or voluntary changes made during a trip.
- Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method, normally within 7–14 working days of approval.
6. Changes by us
Mountain travel is weather-dependent. We may change an itinerary, route, accommodation or activity where required for safety, road or weather conditions, government restrictions, permit availability, or reasons beyond our control. We will offer a comparable alternative wherever possible. Such changes do not by themselves entitle you to a refund.
7. Your responsibilities
- Carry valid government photo identification, and any permits or documents we tell you are needed.
- Assess whether an activity suits your fitness and health, and tell us in advance about any medical condition that may affect your travel.
- Follow the instructions of guides, drivers and local authorities, and respect local customs, wildlife and property.
- Arrange your own travel and medical insurance. We strongly recommend it and do not provide it.
8. Risk
Travel in hill and forest regions carries inherent risks, including road conditions, altitude, weather, wildlife and physical activity. You take part in trips and activities at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety and belongings.
9. Third-party suppliers
Where services are provided by independent suppliers, they are also governed by that supplier's terms. We act as an organiser and coordinator. We are not liable for the acts, omissions, negligence or default of any independent supplier, though we will make reasonable efforts to help resolve any issue that arises.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any booking is limited to the amount you have paid us for that booking. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of enjoyment, missed connections or lost business. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Force majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform where it results from events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, landslides, floods, earthquakes, extreme weather, epidemics, strikes, civil unrest, terrorism, road closures or government action.
12. Complaints
If something goes wrong during your trip, tell your guide, driver or our coordinator immediately so we can try to fix it on the spot. Unresolved complaints should be emailed to info@namanuttarakhand.com within 30 days of the end of your trip.
13. Website use
- All content on this Website — text, images, logos and design — belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without written permission.
- You may not use the Website unlawfully, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or interfere with its operation.

14. Advertising
We advertise on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and other channels. Our advertisements are our own and are not endorsed by those platforms. Offers shown in advertisements are subject to availability and to these Terms.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The current version is the one published on this page. The Terms in force on the date of your booking apply to that booking.
